When running the automation mode, IRT Analyzer is permanently checking that each used camera is connected and images are being received. When connection to a camera is lost, IRT Analyzer automatically tries to reconnect the camera. Same procedure is used for DAQ devices that need connection (WAGO).
System health parameters are setup at the 'General' page of the Automation Mode dialog:
System health DO
IRT Analyzer can report running status to the outside world using a digital output. When automation mode is running and there are no errors, select output port is set to 1. When system is not running or there is an error (e.g., communication with a camera lost), output value will be 0.
DAQ watchdog
In case IRT Analyzer stops working (crashes, hangs), DAQ device can detect that there are no commands coming from the main program and do some actions. WAGO fieldbus coupler supports watchdog functionality - when watchdog timeout is reached, it automatically resets all output to 0 state.
Watchdog timeout: if there are not commands received from the main program during the specified time (in seconds), watchdog recovery plan is activated (all outputs are set to 0).
